2007–2008 WGA strike and BSG

Please somebody correct me if I am wrong here. The first BSG 4.0 episodes were written and filmed before the writers strike on Nov. 5 2007, then after a four month hiatus they resumed filming.

I would also assume that during that four month period (whether or not they actually acknowledge it) they had considerable time to rehash and nail down the final plot lines and episodes.

my question is this: Do you think that we will see a significant shift in episode direction and writing after this break? And will it be for the better?

will it be for the better? well, i can't conceive of how it could be for the worse... unless the final scene takes place on earth in 2008 and shows bill adama waking up in bed next to his wife laura roslin and groggily saying "honey, i had the strangest dream... you were president and there were only 30,000 people left and robots were chasing us across the galaxy..." and she says "oh bill, i told you that burrito had gone bad!" and then the screen fades to black over the laugh track....

no, on second thought, that would be better than the current direction of the show...
