Season 4: 9 May "Faith"

Well...It's about Fraking Time!!!

I loved tonights episode. Made up for the crappy set up. I get the feeling that they are misinterpreting the Hybrids message.

What was it all again?

Dying leader learning about the opera house.
The Three knowing the Five
The Five (something to do with) the Thirteenth Tribe (this is the one I think is interpreted wrong)
and Kara leading them all to their death (also, possibly misunderstood)

I'm thinking that Kara leading "them" to their death may be referring to the death of The Five.

I also think, after hearing that and seeing this episode, that what sets The Five apart from the rest of the Cylons is this: They are from The Thirteenth Colony...i.e. they're from Earth. Just a working theory.

And, apparently Hera is the shape of things to come...we'll find out next week.

Here's my take. I think the final 5 are hybrids like Hera...human-cylon mixes. This would explain Tye especially...since he & the admiral have known each other for so long. If there truely is a human cylon alliance, then eventually there will be more mixed babies born like Tyrol's kid. So when they get to Earth...the decendents will all be human-cylon hybrids, the "shape of things to come." This makes the foreshadowing of the final five & Hera make more sense to me...they are of Earth, the Earth yet to be.

"Thus will it come to pass, a dying leader will know the truth of the Opera House, the missing Three will give you the five who have come from the home of the thirteenth. You are the harbinger of death, Kara Thrace. You will lead them all to their end. End of line."

So in order to find earth all 5 will have to be revealed. Which means number 3 will have to be resurrected some how to reveal all 5? Seems impossible during a Cylon civil war.

Galactica is also gaining a Cylon baseship in the fleet? Woo Hoo!

I was also thinking that Kara had been to earth. But yet her visions are a repeat of what had already happened on her mystical journey? I'm not sure if I'm thinking of this clearly?

Any who the show is becoming more exciting and I can't wait for next weeks show!

<...the missing Three will give you the five who have come from the home of the thirteenth....>

That's the line I'm talking about. The way it is worded makes me think that The Five are from Earth.

When Gaeta got shot in the knee and Kara was fixing him...I could had sworn I saw some wires in the joint. It wasn't, since I watched it in slo-mo and paused it.

        Yup! ANOTHER great episode!

Tendons can look like wires. It was realistically gross. With the level of tech a star fairing race would have they'd have pretty good bionics too. It might not be that big a deal to lose a leg. But still, if I were Gaeta I'd be coming after the guy who shot me later, he'd be a dead man.

            So...question for ya'll...

If Kara never made it to Earth (or maybe she did) then the gas giant with the comet she passed by was that planet where the base star was. So....did she really get there? When they get back to the fleet, will they change course to go back to the giant?

Yeah, apparently, the folks on the base star agree with you. But that's not the /home/ of the thirteenth tribe, it's their destination. The home of the thirteenth is the same as the home of the other 12... Kobol.

I really hope I'm right here, because having them return *from Earth* and infest the cylon construction and design phase, NOT as a group, but interspersed, sounds radically idiotic. It seems much more reasonable that they were part of the original 12 models, didn't like the new resurrection motif the others were taking on and segregated themselves to Kobol to be "closer to humans". Then, [something significant happens] and they decide for a complete wipe and insertion to the human race.

It could very well be that they wiped the other 7 as well, but that sounds needlessly complex if they might also be able to remake their physiology (which seems quite plausible). More likely the other 7 decided to treat them as though they were humans which is why they don't talk about them, because they might have died in the initial attack.

This is an interesting twist. Maybe the Five pulled a "Dark City" for some reason?
To paraphrase Kiefer Sutherland's character, "Can you imagine what must be like,
to voluntarily erase 90% of who you are?"

I liked this episode! I didn't see it 'till today (Sunday) - on account of a date on Friday with a gorgeous young man. I love the Cylons, and finally things are coming together.

I really hope Kara doesn't lead them all to their deaths - unless she just leads the final five to their deaths, which would be sad, but not as bad as 30,000 people.

30,000? what if the hybrid means the BILLIONS of *cylons* will be brought to their end? The message is not yet clear, to us viewers, nor to even Starbuck I would argue. Hot *damn* this was a great episode...

To be a bit more precise, the hybrids both said that "Kara Thrace will lead humanity to it's end." Not necessarily it's "death." There may be a little wiggle room in there for the writers to work something interesting from that. Maybe the end of their journey? Who knows...

"End" could mean "purpose" or "conclusion" just as much as it means "termination".

could also mean the end of the species. I think the plan all along has been the merging of the human and cylon, so the new civilization on earth will be begun by hera and nikky. It will be an end to the distinct species and the beginning of a mix.

Or lead them to what humanity has "evolved to" on Earth all this time?

Maybe it is the reason the ancestors of the Colonists left / fled / obfuscated Earth from the get-go?

Head-Six did keep saying the Hera was "The shape of things to come."

Could imply the blending of the two races, as well as the Hybrid's phrophecy of "bringing humanity to it's end."

The hybrid also called Kara the "Harbinger of Death".
But the death of whom exactly?

            Heheh
This all reminds me of Futurama and the filmstrip explaining why human-robot love is bad... :)

But seriously, a wave of sixes entering the human species, leobins and boomers, Yeah, probably not too many real humans left after a generation or two...

Hmmm...some interesting things happened.....I am still caught up in the Farscape, Vorlon..living ship thing...why did they show blood leaking into the tank?........does the 'ship' know the way to earth??...is the ship dead or just..like a vampire..needing a 'donor'??? I still think Kara is the dying one who will lead the way...in fact..already has....she just needs to die already...I am also still hung up on the 'so beautiful' statement about the fifth...can't get my mind around a guy and it seems most of us are fixed on a woman fifth...hmmmm...good writers can be crafty - we have top watch out for that...:)
