Help me you frakking machines!!!....Data???...."I am anatomically correct...'....Frak!...ok...now what...The child, whom I said might be the fifth in an earlier post, appears....but....and we should realize how old the child has become since she was born.....two years AGO...maybe its the tv distortion...anyway...Kara is looking more like the dying than the president...and then, there are the 'guys'...they all seem to be thinking 'southern fried' than anything else....I heard Xena is coming back?

Re: Tired of Cylon Angst
Sun, May 11, 2008 - 9:00 PMAside from that not making much (if any) sense....the line about Kara looking more dying than the president might be on to something (though completely by accident on your part I imagine).
Kara is the one who found the arrow. Kara is the one who found the Tomb (well...they all did...) and Kara is the one who "has been to Earth"(?).
Hmmm.....curiouser and curiouser...

Re: Tired of Cylon Angst
Sun, May 11, 2008 - 9:13 PMHera was born awhile back. She was born before they spent a year on Caprica, and we had that long hiatus. I have no idea what Data has to do with anything - not seeing any correlation. Kara could well be the dying leader. Southern fried guys????? Lost there too. D'Anna is returning, but Xena was canceled a decade ago.

Re: Tired of Cylon Angst
Mon, May 12, 2008 - 10:08 PMgolly.....ok..data reference..if you remember STNG....Data was capable of every human anatomical function....but not angst..that was my ref to the RE: ...which leads to a child (Data never being fertile...as far as we know)....The child has grown...disproportionately to the time that has passed....and I wondered if it was just a 'tv viewers are stupid' thing.....someone picked up on the Kara stuff...and, well, the southern fried ....cough...was a ref to the male cylons on galactica seeming to be ..shall we say...'whipped'...???...or to reference my post...a bit chicken when it comes to the females...?:
Seems like the cyclons have taken Xena's code when she was 'bad xena'......kill em all
hope this helps....

Re: Tired of Cylon Angst
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 8:48 AMit's been 3-4 years since Hera was born. Seems about right with the age of the child in next episode -

Re: Tired of Cylon Angst
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 2:06 PMShe was just about two years old when Sharon/Athena rescued her during the Battle of the Algae Planet-- how much time has elapsed since then is unknown to me. Battlestar Wiki lists her as being currently two years old:
en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Hera_Agathon
The producers have stated that she will not be "hyperaging" -- which is a common phenomenon on other programs. -

Re: Tired of Cylon Angst
Tue, May 13, 2008 - 2:34 PMWell, let's see. Born just before the settlement, let's give it about a month.
So, she was just over a year when the occupation -started-, and we're not particularly sure how long that lasted. I figure at least several months. Which puts her at about 2 years during the exodus. And then there's all of season 3.
Here's the other marker. Callie was pregnant BEFORE the occupation, and was still forced to carry her baby in her last episode. Human children can usually walk and speak some word by 2 years (the terrible twos), and Hera seemed pretty non verbal. This indicates that the Occupation and season 3 were probably less than a year combined.
This puts Hera definitely in the 1><3 years range, with all likelyhood in the 1><2 years zone. But since we haven't seen her this season, no way to tell how fast she's growing. -
