Yes...I have made it this far already...no...I have no life...yes, I am avoiding my coursework.
I thought that this was a potentially VERY exciting development. They could have taken this story arc to new levels, dealing with the definition of life, consciousness and reality. I understand that they could only do so much with the length of time they had left, but this is one of those things that I would love to have seen it develop.
They did begin to take this places; recall the scene with Baltar speaking with the Centurian? "They have told you about God, haven't they?"
Oh well...

Re: Centurians with the Gift of Reason
Mon, November 16, 2009 - 12:23 PMYes, that was a cool development, that unfortunately never got too far. The ret of the series, imho, kinda veers into some soap-opera territories and eschews the potentials for serious sci-fi that it seeded within itself.
However, even at its worst, it was still some of the best tv out there.
I'm considering starting the series over again, knowing what I know now, and seeing if it makes any sense at all... except that I *do* have a life and it would be a gigantic time commitment. And I said the same thing with B5 and never did it so I let my record speak for itself. :-) -

Watch 2-3 episodes a day, even once a week, and you'll blaze through in no time.
I'm going through Farscape (again) that way, just throwing on an ep when nothing else is on. It's great.

This show is like The Prisoner, Tenchi Muyo, Twin Peaks or Revolutionary Girl Utena.
You really have to watch it at least twice. Problem is finding the time...
